3 John Walker Tribute Shows

The 3 John Walker Tribute Shows The Dakotas helped to organize, along with private support and donations for the cause, raised over £4200.00 GBP for charities. The venues were: Uppermill Civic Hall, Amersham Rock n Roll Club, & Arden Hall. John's wife, Cynthia Maus has received letters from Save The Children, St. Giles Hospice, and South Bucks Hospice, confirming donations from these shows. In addition, organizer Martin Schofield has also confirmed a donation of £500.00 to Newbridge School for Special Needs Children, also from the shows' proceeds. Cynthia would like to thank Toni Baker and the Dakotas, Martin Schofield (promoter, Wall of Sound), and promoter Chris Beebee for their tireless efforts in organizing these shows. She would also like to thank the wonderful bands and artistes for sharing their talents - Gary Walker, Tony Crane & Billy Kinsley from the Merseybeats, Sandy Newman from Marmalade, Geoff Turton from Rockin Berries, Alan Lovell from the Swinging Blue Jeans, and Jog the Memory. Also all the PA and lights technicians, and the staff at each venue. Thanks to Musos Music and UK Music in Oldham for the guitar donations and thanks to Michael Troy Cartmell and Trevor Gellard for the wonderful photos. A special thankyou to Ann Gwilliam and Joy Ryan for taking care of merchandising and so many other things, and to Fred Pritchard (Pritchard Group), and everyone at The Cannock Ramada ... And of course, a huge thanks to you - the fantastic fans and friends who generously supported each event. Watch the websites for news of the next show!
